When spring blossoms in all its beauty in the Alpine-Mediterranean climate, Hotel Sand opens its doors again from the end of March and becomes the ideal starting point for your nature adventures.

The Waalwege, our local ancient irrigation canals, and panoramic paths are among the highlights of our holiday region. You have a generous network of paths at your disposal that you can discover with enthusiasm. The ancient Waalwege accompany you through blossoming apple orchards and vineyards and give you a valuable feeling of tranquillity. By the way: The small village of Kastelbell-Tschars has many small winegrowers and the vines are located on the Sonnenberg along the Waalwege. The panoramic paths offer the opportunity to walk in the silence of nature and admire the landscape from different perspectives, always of rare beauty.

Is biking your passion? Then Hotel Sand is the right place for you, as it is a certified mountain bike hotel and a member of the Ötzi Bike Academy. We offer you a weekly bike programme with bike packages, technique training, touring programme, free trekking bike hire, taster training for children and teenagers (9-13 years) at the technique training area.

The 300 days of sunshine in Vinschgau ensure a particularly long bike season from the end of March to November, and with our expert bike guides you can set off on exciting tours from the hotel.
